His role allowed Amendment J to be passed by the state legislator in 2024, support efforts like end school gun violence, oppose camping ban, protect religious freedom, etc.

Through AmeriCorps and conservation corps service, Calyn worked on environmental clean-up and trail maintenance projects and advocated for expanded conservation funding.

Running for office reflects a commitment to civic participation and representing community interests. Even electoral setbacks provide valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. My first intent was to gain experience, second experience was to enact policy and third attempt was to protect thosee around me.
